I've been using scim-avro in Ubuntu, and it's generally working great. However, bangla script does not show up correctly in anything running under wine (Notepad, MS Word, etc.). Vowels are not placed before consonants (ই-kar, এ-kar) and combined consonant glyphs are not displayed (ক্লান্ত is কলানত). I have the same problem with the default Ubuntu input method and other languages (tried Hindi), so I'm assuming it is a problem with wine. I have already submitted a bug report there (23436). But I thought I'd also check if anyone else has looked into this. Any suggestions? |
