Dear Mehdi,

Don't you used to write Bangla with MS Word ?

We have to write Bangla documents with English for personal or corporate use. And MS word do a runtime spell check, when you type Bangla, MS word indicates it as a misspeeled English word and do a red underline with every Bangla words...It's a boaring things...

And if we do a spell check we have to press 'Ignore' button a lot for Bangla words....what a waste of energy mad.gif
We can avoid the problem by setting input locale to Bangla while typing.

As a programer it's a good habit if you thinking about Bangla Spell Checker though it can be done with Unicode...

It will be very nice if we found a option to setting locale to Bangla with Avro Keyboard.

Nice idea indeed! rolleyes.gif

But I went to Regional options in Control Panel. There is no options for Bangla local there. Do I have to create a lanugage local manually? If, so, I don't know how to create a new lanuage for system.

Can you help me please?

To set Locale to Bengali use LoadKeyboardLayout API and Primary Language Identifiers use LANG_BENGALI ="00000445" [If you need full code reply here or sent me PM/E-mail]. And hey don't forget to set the locale to English while user exit from your app!

Though it'll show '?? Unknown' Icon on Language Bar, our problem will solve.

I can replace 'Unknown' with "Bengali' or 'Bangla' on Win98, but yet can't do with Win2000/XP.

I keep trying but may be it can be solved only by M$ mad.gif

Hope this help.

Once more,

Where did you get LANG_BENGALI ="00000445"?
