Ok I am sorry because, this might not be an 'avro' feature wis, and I am posting two consecutive topics.
But here it goes:
I found a way to use bangla fonts with my Nokia N73 (Symbian S60 v3) mobile. You must have a memory card. Go to Z:\resource\fonts (you can't do that with default file manager. Install Y-Browser)
note down the font names (Mines arenosnr60.ttf, nssb60.ttf, ....)
Make four copies of any Bangla font and rename each copies to the noted down names.
Make a new folder called E:\resources\fonts
Copy the newly renamed fonts to E:\resources\font using datacable
Restart the phone.
Now if you go to www.google.com.bd, you can see the bangla characters there in stead of boxes.
Two problems:
1. The characters are not rendered correctly. This may be due to lack of support for east asian scripts. I don't mind that, at least I can figure out the meaning.
2. The bangla fonts are too big, and so the english characters that appear through out the phone are chopped off from the below. To swith back to your original fonts, delete the fonts in E:\resource\fonts and restart phone.
Ok, this is a wish list, right?
I wish for a font that would have english characters proportionate with the Nokia N series default fonts, so that I can replace the original ones, and atleast see the bangla characters.
(Mods, if you think this is more appropriate for fonts section, please move the post there.)
