Hi,

Avro Keyboard 4.5.1 runs fine using an administrator account, but not under a non-privileged, "regular" user account.

It generates the error "Runtime Error '9': Subscript out of range" when a non-administrative user tries to run the application. I gave the user full control of the Avro application directory, but that didn't help.

Running on WindowsXP.

Suggestions?

Thanks for your detail description about the err. I haven't faced the problem yet, even in a guest account. Have you tried a complete uninstall (with deleting Avro Keyboard directory manually, if it still exists) and reinstall?

Anyway, for a quick solve, you can try the portable edition of Avro Keyboard. It should run fine under a non-privileged, "regular" user account.

Tried your suggestions: uninstalling, re-installing, trying portable version. Still same error...even with portable version.



I'll talk to my development support staff to see if there is something strange about our standard OS desktop clone image that we can track down.

Anyway, although I still cannot detect the problem (may be it is for some weired system setting), it should not remain in the next release, because we are re-writing the entire project from scratch. Next version of Avro Keyboard will not terminate this way even if any error occurs.
