Google indic transliteration offers a free API. All you have to do is log user key presses, when user presses space or enter, form the word, and then send it to google via the API. When the word returns, just replace the typed word with the new Bangla word. If user presses back space, then roll back English word to edit, and also, for mouse clicks, show a VB form (floating) with the list of available words (Shabdik has this feature).

Please integrate it to Avro. Then we will be able to use Google Indic with microsoft word!

Hi Robin , now you might be knowing another method to type in your own language
anywhere on internet it is the bookmarklet method ! please see this if you have not
yet seen it . PS : Google Indic transliteration API & the bookmarklet donot work offline .
that is , we may not be able to use them easily to type on MS-Word

This kind of feature has been planned more than one year before and hopefully will come out with Avro 5. Thanks.

I know. But when we have internet, Google's algorithm is much better for phonetic typing. In offline situation, we can always use the "auto-correct" dictionary of Avro.

Moreover, the dictionary can "learn" words from google transliterate
